Alex Johnson – Standing at 6 foot 8, Alex Johnson was a name many wasn’t familiar with in the South Georgia area. But after attending a few exposure camps and playing in a few games this season, he started to create a buzz. Alex is able to stretch the defense with his outside shooting. He is capable of knocking down the deep ball and the mid-range. With his long arms and big hands he is able to contest shots and can be a force on the glass. A few of the local highschool coaches that coached against him in recent years said that he is the most improved player in the area. Alex finished his senior year averaging 16pts and 8rebs. Due to his stellar play this season, he has recently picked up multiple offers from Sante Fe College, Georgia Southwestern, South Georgia, and Marion Military Institute.

Tyler Culbreth – Deep down in the Southwest Georgia area, many of the players never get the recognition or credit they deserved because it is assumed that there is no competition in the South. With that being said, what better competition than playing against McDonalds All American Reggie Perry from Thomasville. Tyler held his own against the All American. He rebounded the ball, blocked shots and even had a few dunks. He showed the ability to guard on the post and also at the wing too. Tyler is a physical player who doesn’t mind contact either. He has good athleticism and show glimpses of having nice footwork. Whoever takes the time out to help improve his skillset is getting a player that I can see playing for a Mid Major program in a few years. Tyler currently has an offer from Columbia State.
